_ I have two different "classes" of bullet pens. Those that are made from real bullets, and those that are pens that are specifically made to look like a real bullet.
Both styles look and feel like the real thing. The biggest difference is the finish. The "replica" pens are metal plated and polished to a brilliant shine. Their finish will last a lifetime. Most of the "real" bullets have actually been fired, and ejected from a weapon. This means that they are not as pristine as the "replica" pens, and will more than likely have small scratches and dings on them that add to the pen's character. The "real" bullet pen's finish does not have the same shine as their "replica" counterparts, and will dull rather quickly with normal use. For many, this "dullness" is what makes the bullet look "real." Either way, they are truly unique pens.
